Lady Gaga e Ariana Grande, as artistas mais indicadas da noite, saíram com cinco e quatro vitórias, respectivamente, enquanto BTS dominou em Melhor Pop, Melhor K-pop e Melhor Grupo. The Weeknd, por sua vez, conseguiu dois prêmios, e Taylor Swift ganhou seu primeiro lugar na categoria de direção por seu trabalho ao dirigir “The Man”.
