A 27º edição anual do Critics Choice TV Awards está chegando. A premiação, tal qual o Critics Choice Awards, premeia as melhores produções do ano. Hoje, dia 07 de Dezembro, os indicados para as mais diversas categorias de prêmios relacionados as produções televisivas foram revelados.
O maior destaque entre os nomes anunciados é o da série Succession, um sucesso produzido pela HBO. A série recebeu 8 indicações diferentes. Além de ser líder em indicações com uma série especifica, a HBO também se destacou ao ser o canal com mais indicações, tendo recebido 20 nomeações.
Succession fala sobre uma família rica e problemática, mas ao mesmo tempo poderosa, os Roys. A série aborda a relação entre os familiares e a lealdade, negócios e perigos que a essa relação traz. Em segundo lugar como série mais indicada ficou a produção Mare of Easttown, também da HBO.
Logo em seguida como canal ou veículo de mídia com mais indicalões no Critics Choice TV Awards vem a Netflix. O canal de streaming vem crescendo em eventos de premiação recentes, chegando a concorrer até na categoria de melhor filme do Oscar. Esse ano o serviço conseguiu 18 indicações, apenas duas a menos que o canal concorrente.
Um destaque para a 27º edição do evento é a indicação de uma produção com língua que não seja inglês nas categorias de melhor drama e melhor ator. Lee Jung-jae, interprete do protagonista, Número 456, foi o selecionado para representar a série na categoria de atuação.
Além de Round 6, que a Netflix deve submeter ao Emmy Awards (o principal ao invés do Emmy Internacional), outras séries do streaming também tem chances de ganhar prêmios. A série espanhola La Casa de Papel, que teve seu encerramento esse ano, também marca presença, além de Lupin.
